Open Road

Seven months after our separation, Mike continues to be a disappointment as a father.

At one time I tried to MAKE him be a good husband. It didn't work.

I need to realize and accept that I cannot make him be a good father either. I need to accept him as what he's become and to release him from his role as my husband.

As a mother, I want the very best for my daughters. I now change direction, put it all in God's hands, and ask that He will send good, fatherly examples into the lives of Katie and Emily.

I see a road which was once blocked and congested now opening up before me. Freedom pours through the windows of my life.

Springtime is a new beginning. Wishing you all a very happy and blessed Easter!

Waving Hello!

I worked a whoppin' 74 hours this past week, but feel great! (yeah, really, but ask me again in a couple weeks!). After 10 years of this, one tends to build up some stamina. Only 5 weeks left of tax season to go - woohoo!

For those of you who like contemporary Christian music, my co-worker and fellow church attender, Tim, sent me
this cool link! Check it out!

My friend, Brenda, has invited me to attend a scrapbooking event here: Doesn't this look lovely? (even if you're not a scrapbooker) I don't think I'll get to go though as it's the weekend right after tax season ends. Katie and Emily aren't ready for me to leave them for three nights yet. A lot of people have volunteered to stay with them (they're not ready to stay with their dad yet), but they will need some "mom time" after all these crazy hours I'll be working!

Katie got a new webcam this week, and we've been having so much fun with it. We recorded a video for here, but apparently it's too large to upload. Emily's quite the actress and has come up with some hilarious skits which I hope I can somehow get on here. Otherwise we'll have to post them to Youtube!

I like this funky feature - it hides all the imperfections and makes me look thinner and younger! ;o)

Have a great week!
